In Fort Myers, Florida, a former bible study teacher convicted of molesting boys he met through a Cape Coral Jehovah’s Witness church wants to lighten his prison sentence.

Prosecutors say the abuse went on from 2001 to 2011. The victims are now in their teens and twenties.

The Lucas Road home in Fort Myers sits vacant. But at one time, it’s where investigators say Francis Wong, 43, tried molesting a 17-year-old at a party.

Court records show they were playing the game “Chinese Attack”, where Wong chased him in the bedroom and tickled the teen. Wong then grabbed the teen’s genitals over his clothes.

This was one of seven victim accounts. All the boys met Wong at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cape Coral, where Wong was active in training and bible study.

“One of the witnesses to the case told his mom that allegedly he’d been touched inappropriately during one of the house-church meetings,” said Sebouh Gourjian, Wong’s attorney.

“And rounding out our list is yet another accused child molester – Francis Wong – who’s being sought for failing to appear in court on 5 counts of lewd and lascivious behavior, molesting victims under the age of 12 and promoting sexual activity of victims under 16 years of age.

“Wong is accused of molesting at least four different boys over the course of 11 years. He met each of the victims through church, and would bring the boys to his home for Bible study.

“In every instance, he would wrestle with the boys and then pin them down so that he could molest them. Because Wong was an authority figure in their lives, it took the victims years to come forward.

“But once the first victim had the bravery to tell his story, the vault was unlocked and others spoke out about the crimes that they, too, had been victims of.

“Wong was arrested last year for the crimes, and was released on $50,000 bond after spending just one day behind bars. He has since gone off the radar, and we need your help tracking him down.

“Wong is 42 years old, 260 pounds, and upon his arrest, he will be held without bond in the Lee County Jail.”
